Exton, PA, March 10, 2010—Physiotherapy Associates and LifeBridge Health Sports Medicine announced today they have formed a partnership to become the Baltimore area’s leading outpatient physical therapy service company. LifeBridge Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation powered by Physiotherapy Associates fulfills the continuum of sports medicine and rehabilitation for elite athletes, orthopedic outpatients, and the chronic pain patient.
Initially, the company will have five clinic locations, including Eldersburg, Owings Mills, Towson and Timonium, and one clinic inside LifeBridge Health & Fitness in Pikesville. The partnership will provide comprehensive outpatient physical therapy to patients in non-hospital settings. Patients will have access to expert care in sports medicine and performance, back and neck care, orthopedic physical therapy, post-operative rehabilitation, aquatic physical therapy, neurological rehabilitation, work injury rehabilitation, as well as many other specialty services.

LifeBridge Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation powered by Physiotherapy Associates offers a broader set of physical therapy and sports medicine programs to Baltimore athletes and other types of patients than other local or national providers. The new company will offer patients the option to receive medical treatment or physical therapy at one of five facilities, and then patients can progress to additional training opportunities at LifeBridge Health & Fitness.
“The full continuum of care offered by LifeBridge Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation powered by Physiotherapy Associates is unlike any other program,” said Matt Carlen, Director of Wellness at LifeBridge Health & Fitness. “Both athletes and physical therapy patients will experience completely integrated care with the advantage of utilizing one of the area’s premier health clubs.”
