Meet Our Clinicians
Amanda Hodge, DPT
Amanda began her career with Physiotherapy Associates at the Scottdale, AZ clinic before graduating PT school. At this clinic she trained under Todd Ellenbecker, who specializes in shoulder, elbow, and knee rehabilitation in athletes, especially tennis and overhead athletes. After graduating from USC with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy, she worked for Physiotherapy Associated in the Greater Los Angeles area until relocating to the Bay Area. Her specialty is in orthopedic rehabilitation with an interest in sports-related pathology. She is ART© certified (Active Release Techniques) adn Graston © certified as well as SFMA and FMS certified. She is also certified in neurodynamic taping, which enables her to continually pursue knowledge in movement and posture-related injuries. In her spare time, Amanda loves to spend as much time outdoors as possible, whether she is hiking, camping, or walking her dog. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and baking.
Yvonne Hinds, DPT
Staff Physical Therapist
Yvonne earned her bachelors degree in psychology from Purdue University in 2007 where she was a member of the varsity swim team. She continued her education at Indiana University where she graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010. She has been a member of the Physiotherapy Associates team since 2011, initially in Louisville, Kentucky before relocating with her husband to the Bay Area. She is certified in Graston© Technique and Theratogs© Fitter and has completed extensive continuing education training in manual techniques including upper extremity and lumbopelvic disorders. During her time in the Midwest she also worked at Physiotherapy Associates and St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis where she treated both orthopedic and neurological conditions for infants, children, and adolescents. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband outdoors, running, and yoga.
Sarah Pierce, DPT
Staff Physical Therapist
After graduating from Mary Baldwin College with a B.S. degree in Biology, Sarah started her path to becoming a physical therapist by obtaining her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. She spent several years working in outpatient orthopedic clinics in southern Florida until relocating to the Bay Area in 2013. In the past 5 years as a physical therapist, Sarah has broaden her education by taking courses in the treatment of orthopedics, sports, and Women’s Health. Sarah completed her Pilates Instructor training through Polestar Pilates (a 450-hour certification program) and incorporates the Pilates principles in her treatment to help her patients return to healthy movement. A firm believer in fitness, Sarah spends her free time running, cycling (including riding her bike from San Francisco to LA in the AIDS LifeCycle in 2014), teaching and taking Pilates classes, and playing with her little dog Bella.
