Physiotherapy Associates Clinics Raise Over $7800 in Maryland Polar Bear PlungeAnnapolis, MD, March 2,2001—Physiotherapy Associates, the nation’s foremost provider of outpatient physical therapy services, announced today that members of its Annapolis and Bowie physical therapy clinics raised over $7,800 in Maryland’s 15th Anniversary MSP Polar Bear Plunge.
The Physiotherapy Associates team gathered on the shores of the Chesapeake and took a quick dip in the water to raise funds for Special Olympics Maryland, the state’s largest year-round organization devoted to sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Team Physio far surpassed its fundraising goals, raising over $7,800 and successfully recruiting 33 members to participate in the goosebump-inducing event.
According to clinic director and team organizer Ryan Wilkerson, MPT, “Raising all of this money for Special Olympics was truly a rewarding experience. I am so proud of everyone that participated with Team Physio and I couldn’t have done it without their help!”
